Hario UK at the London Coffee Festival 2017
In it’s 6th year, the London Coffee Festival 2017 has been an exhilarating, busy, wild, caffeine fuelled rush of coffee fans, trade customers and curious bystanders keen to dip their toes into the world of specialty coffee. Hario UK along with our UK distributers; Brewed By Hand, had a fantastic experience.
The 24 degree flash of Summer in London helped draw the crowd (23,642 people to be precise!) towards the Old Truman Brewery – with lines snaking around the building and spilling out for over half a mile.
This year Hario UK were right by the entrance and our chemistry lab of specialty equipment brought caffeinated drama – from bubbling Syphons, precise V60 pour-over stations and amazing natural roasts from Colonna Coffee, Extract Roasters and Pact. Throughout the festival, coffee fans from all over the globe visited the Hario stand – from Brazil, Singapore, Dubai, Italy, France and of course all over the UK. We talked non-stop specialty brews, adding to an already healthy fan base – we wouldn’t be here without you guys so a huge thank you for making the weekend a runaway success!
When we weren’t talking or demonstrating coffee equipment, we managed to take a look at V60 demos, specialty tastings, talks, interactive latte art sessions, food stalls and plenty of live music from London’s Big Brass Band to Norman Jay MBE.
Special shout-outs go to our demo gang who helped bring the Hario station to life. The friendly folk at Curator's Gallery, Celeste from wildly popular coffee blog The Girl in The Café showing us her love for the Hario Temperature Control Kettle, Maxwell, from Colonna Coffee extracting his favourite roasts using the Hario V60 method, the team from Extract Coffee, Dan and Callum, demonstrating the dramatic tasting notes you can achieve from a Hario Syphon and Kazim from Waterloo Tea, showing us how to brew the perfect cuppa with the Hario Largo system.
