To celebrate Hario’s 100th anniversary, Hario UK is releasing a collector’s run of V60s featuring artwork by local artists, designers and coffee brands.
The release of the Artists Edition V60 is the first time this classic piece of brewing equipment has ever been used as a canvas for pieces of art. The anniversary project, which has only taken place in the UK, is a collaboration between Hario UK and their exclusive distributer Brewed By Hand.
About the Artist - Hestie Roodt
Hestie is an illustrator based in London and the Head of Marketing and Strategy at Square Mile, a multi-award-winning coffee roasting company synonymous with London coffee culture.
What's the inspiration behind Hestie's design?
"I have a deep appreciation for heritage blue and white porcelain and recently started collecting a few pieces again. I find the immediate sense of tradition, ritual and regality something as simple as a blue pattern on white porcelain conveys fascinating. And that was my inspiration. Blue combined with the ritual of brewing - and of course, it’s all pretty grand thanks to 100 years of Hario."

What is a V60?
The V60 is a simple to use coffee-making method that brings out the cleanest flavour from your coffee. The name V60 derives from the dripper's design: the cone is V shaped and has a 60° angle. The dripper spread across the world after the 2010 World Brewers Cup in London and is now synonymous with the highest standards of craft in coffee making equipment.
