How Long Have You Worked in The Coffee Industry?
17 years. I began my first barista job in January 2003.
What Was Your First V60 Encounter?
The first V60 I had was in around 2007-2008, when single cup brewing started becoming more popular in the US.
Why Do You Love the V60?
I love the clarity of flavour and the tendency toward vibrant tasting notes. The V60 filter makes for easy usage, and Hario has been very supportive in the Specialty coffee industry.

Pete Licata V60 Recipe
18g Coffee (“Medium-fine” grind, equivalent to 7.5 on standard EK dial)(Colombia La Palma y El Tucan Natural Gesha : Light roasted)
300mL Brew Water (94°C / 201.2°F @ 125TDS)
Time: 2:30 min.
1. 50mL bloom @30 seconds
2. Continuous pour with fast, aggressive water pour initially, followed by slow center pour. Fast, turbulent pouring for final 50ml.
